Making Friends

Friends are people who care for us. We also care about them. Most of the time, friends are different from our family members. We meet them outside our homes. Children usually make friends at school while adults make friends in the community and workplaces.

To make friends, you can introduce yourself. Say your name, where you live, and what you do. You also need to ask questions and become interested in the other person.

Take a look at the example below:

Introducing Yourself

Hi, I’m James from Virginia. I work at the University in the downtown area.

Asking Question

What is your name?

Are you my new neighbor?

Is that your dog?
